Clients
My clients are mostly IT operations managers, faced with managing possibly the most revolutionary changes in any business area over the past 10 years, while also charged with providing uninterrupted service, and managing the most independent, unique, and variable workforce in the business – IT folks.

Corporate one-on-one and team coaching
During my time as a consultant, I have frequently been asked to coach my consulting clients, especially on issues of corporate politics, performance improvement, teamwork, boss-employee relations, intergenerational communications, and interpersonal skills. As one of my clients put it, “You aren’t just a consultant – you can talk about the people stuff too, the stuff that really matters.”

Capacity building through team coaching
I have also been an instructor and team coach for a team capacity-building retreat for the past 6 years. The retreat is a non-stop, week-long business simulation called ResultsCamp. It combines deep business role-play with one-on-one and team coaching. I have on occasion provided back-to-back, 15-minute laser coaching sessions to 80 people for 10 hours a day for five days. I get coached too
With my fantastic life and business partner, Paul Reeves (www.impsol.biz), and the excellent coaches I work with in ResultsCamp, I have a powerful team of coaches behind me providing me abundant coaching whenever I need it as I coach others. I seek out coaching for myself as an essential part of my own life in order to continually grow, learn and adapt. That lets me come to my clients with focus, integrity and good intent. I have used my values, and the tools I have learned from my own coaches, to create a life of growth and joy in a place I love with someone I love. It also happens that we often get to work together, which brings me even more joy.

Why I love coaching
As I learned and grew as a coach in ResultsCamp, and with my consulting clients, I came to realize that of all the roles I play in business, I love the coaching role most of all. I love coaching because it is a time of connection, presence, and transformation. It is a true partnership of learning. I love to help clients become self-sufficient and learn how powerful they are, and to see them use their new capabilities to make great changes in their lives and the lives of the people around them. When my clients get coaching to take care of their own goals, they are able to bring the energy, focus, motivation and self-care back to their workplace, and home to their families, and everyone benefits.

Qualifications
As part of my commitment to my own continuing education and to providing the very best service to my clients, I am anchoring my field experience of coaching, and my certification as a ResultsCamp instructor, with industry-recognized Certified Professional Coach status conferred by the International Coach Federation through the 2-year program offered by the excellent International Coach Academy.

2. Curiosity and interest in the world
I am curious about everything. I am always asking questions, and I find all subjects and topics fascinating. I like exploration and discovery.
3. Fairness, equity and justice
Treating all people fairly is one of my abiding principles. I do not let my personal feelings bias my decisions about other people. I give everyone a chance.
4. Judgment, critical thinking and open-mindedness
Thinking things through and examining them from all sides are important aspects of who I am. I do not jump to conclusions, and I rely only on solid evidence to make my decisions. I am able to change my mind.
